ART INSIDE
The shape and the space
If, looking at any
object, we could hide its colour ( and sensations of a sudden change in
temperature
resulting from this), the identification of the material of which it is
made (hardness, malleability, plasticity) and the mnemonic comparison
with other objects stored in our wealth of experience, we could see the
PURE SHAPE.
Imagining also to remove the object , if we could stop the time and the
movement related to it exsisting in real life, we could see the space
where the shape was before.
In real life we are catched by “symbol-objects” that attract us above
all for for their aesthetic aspect, colour or brightness, distracting
us for the inverse relationship between appearance and needs.
With “art inside” the work is the space, defined by the
internal shape of the artefact: a spatial positive enclosed in a negative
of material, where this one becomes a bearing, such as a virtual canvas
waiting for the painting.
It is completely usable, breathable: people are invited to live it entering
it (may be only having a look) and they will form part of it until they
will come out of it. They will become at the same time users and protagonists,
living the positive or negative feelings of those who previously wanted
to leave a mark on the material that defines the shape, and he himself
could be also an occasional co-author (as specified by the author).
The outward appearance does not matter (it can be a geometric shape known
or any other), its brightness, colour, the look of the material are unimportant
because they are not equivalent to the inner surface, detectable only
looking into it.
